Today is the opening date for the important cultural event devised several months ago by both plastic artist Marta Díez and Dr. Alejandro Caride. It will involve all the pupils at the village school. Prestigious guests are expected. Chasicó, the small community in Tornquist, will today be the seat of a meeting of painting and sculpture entitled “Plastic Arts in the Cultures – 2008: Integration of cultures in our country”. The event is being organized by plastic artist Marta Díez and her husband, Dr. Alejandro Caride, Chief of Neurology at the German Hospital in Buenos Aires and honorary member at the Hispanic Literary and Cultural Institute in California

Masks by a great artist: Marta Díez. Poems by a great poet: Rubén Vela. Two brightly original creations for a publication where the empty eyes of masks meet the respective text - not as a mere explanation or translation, but as consubstantiation, as a constituent part. On October 3 a presentation took place at the Isaac Fernández Blanco Museum of Spanish- American Art consisting of an excellent double art event involving Sculpture and Poetry: Sculpture by Marta Díez, Poetry by Rubén Vela.

Last week Tucumán-born artist Marta Díez presented her book “Masks-Sculptures” at the Isaac Fernández Blanco Museum of Spanish-American Art. The event took place within the Week of Art in Buenos Aires, with some 320 visitors on the presentation day.
